Apartment 1034

This project is a bold exploration of colors and materials – an artistic interpretation of the contemporary home, set within an old multifamily building. The interior harmoniously preserves architectural elements such as ornate plaster ceilings, an exposed brick wall, and original flooring. Here, the furniture is not just functional – it becomes a defining accent that shapes the character of the space while guiding the smooth transition from one area to another. Deep navy blue and warm terracotta bring drama and energy, while light birch plywood and soft tones balance the atmosphere with a sense of lightness and comfort.

Kitchen

The kitchen is a T-shaped composition of three volumes – two facing each other in deep navy blue and terracotta red, and a neutral gray module positioned perpendicularly, primarily for storage. The red volume flows seamlessly into the dining area through cabinets, elegantly uniting the two spaces. Brass handles, a black plinth, and the raised technical stone countertop are key details that define the character of the kitchen. A mirror at the end of the room, between the gray and blue modules, enhances the sense of space and ensures a smooth transition between the different areas.

Livingroom

The dining area and living room flow seamlessly into each other through a portal, creating an open and bright space. Along one wall of both rooms are built-in libraries with black particleboard at the base and birch plywood above, visually dividing the furniture and breaking down its scale. In the dining area, a work surface with drawers is integrated beneath the library – a perfect home office solution – while in the living room, an opening accommodates a stove, revealing an authentic brick wall painted in the apartment’s signature deep navy. LED lighting beneath the upper row of cabinets highlights details and adds a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

Bedroom

In the bedroom, the wardrobe and dressing table are made from birch plywood, combined with light and darker shades of blue. This built-in furniture forms a natural extension of the living room library, as the three rooms are arranged enfilade, creating visual continuity and a seamless transition between the spaces. Minimalist birch plywood bedside tables complete the interior, emphasizing clean lines and the functional character of the room.

Bathrooms

The bathrooms continue the play of deep blue and red. Built-in cabinets and a vanity unit provide both style and practicality, complementing the character of the interior.
